As of 2018 New York State now requires that every employer in NYS establish a sexual harassment prevention policy. Additionally, NYS also requires every employer provide employees with annual sexual harassment prevention training.
All employees must be trained by October 8, 2019 and annually thereafter. Employees hired after this date must receive training "as soon as possible" after their start date and trained annually.
Training must be interactive and NYS suggests including a live trainer. The training must also include specific information as laid out by NYS.
